Hey, How are you? I know you can’t reply to a screen but I hope you’re well.

I wanted to share a bit about myself and how I came to write “I’m Inside”.

After surviving two suicide attempts during the darkest years of my life, I found comfort in writing. Growing up in a community where depression was seen as taboo, I struggled to find outlets that could help me free my mind from negativity and truly express myself.

The journey was incredibly difficult and even to this day I still face triggers but writing has been my saving grace that was gifted to me by God. It allows me to evolve my thoughts in a positive direction, even if it’s just releasing the tiniest amount of stress at a time.

Being able to help others with their mental health means a lot to me. There is a lot I will be doing with “I’m Inside”. I’ve created two books which I’ve worked on for years, one with my full story and one with bits of my diary to encourage others to write, which is free to the public.

Why is it free? Well, why shouldn’t mental health aid be free? I spent so much money on therapy sessions and I luckily had the chance to get free mental health care with the aid of my university. However I wanted an outlet that was available to all despite your circumstance or your segmentations, everyone deserves a space to express their inner thoughts!
